Equestrian Preserve Committee Action Summary January 4, 2017
I. Call to Order/Pledge of Allegiance
Chair Cleveland called the meeting to order at 6:15 pm. Jane
Cleveland, Dr. Sergio Guerreiro, Dr. Rachel Eidelman, Doug Hundt,
and Carol Cohen were present. Robert Bushey and Dr. Kristy Lund
arrived late.
Staff present: Shannon LaRocque, Michael O'Dell, Cory Lyn Cramer,
David Flinchum, J. Higbee, and Ryan Harding.
II. Remarks from Committee Chair
Ms. Cleveland asked for a status update on the Winding Trails Project.
III. EPC-137 Approval of the September 7, 2016 Equestrian Preserve Committee
Minutes
Dr. Guerreiro made a motion to approve the September 7, 2016 Equestrian
Preserve Committee minutes. Mr. Hundt seconded the motion and it passed
unanimously (5-0).
IV. Additions/Deletions/Reordering of the Agenda
Ms. Cleveland asked to add a manure hauler discussion item to the
agenda to occur before the Staff Comments portion of the meeting.
V. Workshop
A. Discussion Item - Venue Operators
Marc Ganzi and Peter Rizzo representing Grand Champions Polo
Club discussed their venue and polo in Wellington.
B. Discussion Item - Water/Utilities - Shannon LaRocque, Wellington Utilities
Director
Ms. LaRocque discussed utilities in Wellington and specifically in the
Equestrian Preserve Area.
C. EPC-138 Discussion - Land Development Regulations in the Equestrian Overlay
Zoning District
Mr. Flinchum discussed Land Development Regulations, specifically
land use types and zoning categories in the Equestrian Preserve Area.
VI. Staff Comments
Mr. O'Dell discussed recent improvements made to the Red Trail
