CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Chair Cleveland called the meeting to order at 6:23 pm. Jane Cleveland and Dr. Kristy Lund were present. Dr. Sergio Guerreiro had an excused absence. Dr. Rachel Eidelman, Robert Bushey, John Wash, and Carol Cohen had unexcused absences. Staff present: Robert Basehart, Michael O'Dell, and Ryan Harding. II. REMARKS BY COMMITTEE CHAIR Ms. Cleveland explained that although there were only two committee members present, the meeting was a workshop and a quorum was not required. Therefore, they would proceed with the meeting, but postpone approval of the minutes until the next meeting. III. ADDITIONS/DELETIONS/REORDERING OF AGENDA There were no changes to the agenda. IV. EPC-154 APPROVAL OF THE FEBRUARY 1, 2017 EQUESTRIAN PRESERVE COMMITTEE MINUTES Approval of the February 1, 2017 minutes was postponed until the next Equestrian Preserve Committee Meeting. V. EPC-155 APPROVAL OF THE FEBRUARY 16, 2017 EQUESTRIAN PRESERVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Approval of the February 16, 2017 minutes was postponed until the next Equestrian Preserve Committee Meeting. VI. WORKSHOP A. Livestock Waste Disposal Methods with Joseph Scarpa Mr. Scarpa discussed feasibilty of livestock waste disposal methods pertaining to Wellington. B. Agricultural Water Policies with Steven Dwinell, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Mr. Dwinell discussed the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services' Equine Best Management Practices manual and their Memorandum of Understanding with Wellington. C. Housing and Economic Develoment Study with Robert Gray, AICP, Strategic Planning Group Village of Wellington Page 1 Equestrian Preserve Committee Action Summary July 5, 2017 Mr. Gray gave an overview of his company, Strategic Planning Group, and the work they will be doing on Wellington's Economic Development and Housing study. VII. STAFF COMMENTS Mr. Basehart reminded the committee they need to provide recommendations for capital improvements in the Equestrian Preserve Area. The committee agreed to add it to the next agenda. VIII. BOARD COMMENTS There were no board comments. IX. PUBLIC COMMENTS There were no public comments. X.
