CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Jenny Kosek at 4:00 p.m. B. ROLL CALL Present 6- Ms. Sarah Fonaas, Mr. Devan Gracyalny, Ms. Barbara Hart, Mr. Ray Nazer, Mr. John Noll, and Ms. Patricia Wolfe Excused 1- Mayor Dan Devine OTHERS ATTENDING Shaun Mueller, Senior Planner Jenny Kosek, Communications Strategist C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. 18-00238 Minutes (draft) April 11, 2018. Attachments: 4-11-18 Draft Minutes A motion was made by Ms. Hart, seconded by Mr. Nazer, that the minutes of the April 11, 2018 meeting be Approved. The motion carried unanimously. Aye: 6- Ms. Fonaas, Mr. Gracyalny, Ms. Hart, Mr. Nazer, Mr. Noll, and Ms. Wolfe No: 0 D. NEW AND PREVIOUS MATTERS 2. 18-00239 Financial Report - Devan Gracyalny, Vice Chair/Treasurer. Mr. Gracyalny reported that as of 5/9/18, the balance on hand is $7,807.46. It was also reported that another $1,000 will be donated from the West Allis Rotary. The West Allis Community Improvement Foundation may match the $3,500 grant with another $3,500. A motion was made by Ms. Hart, seconded by Mr. Noll, that the Financial Report be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Ms. Fonaas, Mr. Gracyalny, Ms. Hart, Mr. Nazer, Mr. Noll, and Ms. Wolfe No: 0 E. MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION/ACTION 3. 18-00240 Report from the West Allis Historical Society. The Historical Society is prepping for the 20th Anniversary Log Schoolhouse Rededication on May 16th. Log Schoolhouse Mr. Mueller met on site with Damien Slaske, log cabin consultant for log restoration. Mr. Slaske will provide a report to City Staff regarding his recommendations. B. Seneca Station Nothing to report. C. Settlers Weekend Mr. Gracyalny reported that they are finishing the schedule. Once it is finalized, it will be posted on the City web site. Next committee meeting for this event will be Monday, June 25th. D. Historic Preservation Grant Nothing to report. E. Social Media Updates Mr. Gracyalny reported that the Historic Preservation Page needs to be updated to allow for Historic Districts to show up. In addition, would also like to have a layer created on the Assessor's site. 5. 18-00242 Log Cabin Rededication - 20 Years. The program is completed. 6. 18-00243 Review of Potential Demolition of Office Building located at 1010-1304 S. 70 St. It was suggested that before the demolition of the Office Building located on S. 70 St., could the Historical Commission be given the authority to take pictures or request any historic elements. 7. 18-00244 Review of Potential Demolition of McKinley Fieldhouse located at 1000 S. 72 St. Just as it had been suggested for the demolition of the Office Building on South 70 St., could the Historical Commission be given the authority to take pictures or request any historic elements from the McKinley Fieldhouse demolition. F. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Ray Nazer, seconded by Sarah Fonaas to adjourn the meeting at 4:50 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
