REGULAR MEETING
A. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Jenny Kosek at 4:02 p.m.
B. ROLL CALL
Present 6- Ms. Sarah Fonaas, Mr. Devan Gracyalny, Ms. Barbara Hart, Mr. Ray Nazer, Mr. John Noll,
and Ms. Patricia Wolfe

C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. 18-00320 Minutes (draft) May 9, 2018.
Attachments: 5-9-18 Draft Minutes
A motion was made by Ms. Hart, seconded by Mr. Nazer, that the minutes of the May 9, 2018
meeting be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote:
Aye: 6- Ms. Fonaas, Mr. Gracyalny, Ms. Hart, Mr. Nazer, Mr. Noll, and Ms. Wolfe

D. NEW AND PREVIOUS MATTERS
2. 18-00321 Financial Report - Devan Gracyalny, Vice Chair/Treasurer.
Mr. Gracyalny reported that as of 6/13/18, the balance on hand is $8,100.34. It
was also reported that next month, the balance should be nearly four thousand
dollars higher due to an additional $3,000 being donated by the West Allis
Community Improvement Foundation & other donations expected to be
forthcoming.
A motion was made by Ms. Hart, seconded by Mr. Noll, that the Financial Report be Approved.
The motion carried by the following vote:

E. MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION/ACTION
3. 18-00322 Report from the West Allis Historical Society.
The Historical Society website is in the process of being updated. There is a draft
website which has been created, but is not yet available for public viewing.
4. 18-00323 Status Reports - Historical Commission Projects and Activities.
A. Log Schoolhouse
Mr. Mueller reported that carpenter ants and bees continue to be an issue at the
Log Schoolhouse. He also mentioned that the first Log Schoolhouse tour for the
2019 school year is scheduled for May 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
B. Seneca Station
Mr. Mueller will once again sign up the Seneca Station for Doors Open
Milwaukee.
C. Settlers Weekend
Mr. Gracyalny reported that the schedule for Settlers Weekend is finalized and
published. The next committee meeting will be held on Monday, June 25th.
D. Historic Preservation Grant
Mr. Mueller indicated that he would present a list of potential properties at the
next Historical Society meeting.
E. Social Media Updates
The Historical Society Facebook Page has not been accessed since January. Ms.
Kosek will try to reclaim the page.
5. 18-00324 Report on the Log Cabin Rededication - 20 Years.
Alderman Weigel indicated he is missing one growler. Mr. Noll reported that it
was returned to Benno's. Mr. Gracyalny would like to send a thank you note to
Bev's Catering for donating the hors d'oeuvres.
F. ADJOURNMENT
A motion was mady by Ms. Kosek, seconded by Mr. Noll to adjourn the meeting at
4:20 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
