CALL TO ORDER The meeting location was moved to the Log Schoolhouse and the meeting was called to order by Jenny Kosek at 4:00 p.m. B. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. 18-00443 Minutes (draft) July 11, 2018 Attachments: 7-11-18 Minutes A motion was made by Mr. Nazer, seconded by Mr. Noll, that the minutes of the July 11, 2018 meeting be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Ms. Fonaas, Mr. Gracyalny, Mr. Nazer, Mr. Noll, and Ms. Wolfe No: 0 D. NEW AND PREVIOUS MATTERS 2. 18-00444 Financial Report - Devan Gracyalny, Vice Chair/Treasurer Mr. Gracyalny reported that as of August 11, 2018, the balance on hand is $4,876.31. The majority of expenses for Settler's Weekend have been paid. A motion was made by Ms. Wolfe, seconded by Mr. Nazer, that this matter was Approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Ms. Fonaas, Mr. Gracyalny, Mr. Nazer, Mr. Noll, and Ms. Wolfe No: 0 3. 18-00445 Certificate of Appropriateness application by Kyle Harmon to make alterations to the building located at 6682. W. Greenfield Ave., be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Ms. Fonaas, Mr. Gracyalny, Mr. Nazer, Mr. Noll, and Ms. Wolfe No: 0 E. MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION/ACTION 4. 18-00446 Report from the West Allis Historical Society The City of West Allis is working with the West Allis Historical Society on assisting with phone bill spike. Tony Warkoczewski of IT, is helping to resolve the issue trying to keep alarms going at a reduced cost. 5. 18-00447 Status Reports - Historical Commission Projects and Activities A. Log Schoolhouse Mr. Gracyalny reported that he has not received a bill or report from Damien S., in regards to the Log School restoration consultation. He also informed the committee that the Log School Holiday Open House will be held on Sunday, December 2nd. Pat Wolfe stated that she typically decorates with the Mayor, the Thursday before the Open House which would be Thursday, November 29th. B. Seneca Station Mr. Mueller mentioned that Doors Open Milwaukee is looking for volunteers for the September 22 and 23, 2018 event. C. Settlers Weekend Set up and take down details were discussed. D. Historic Preservation Grant Nothing to report. E. Social Media Updates Positive comments on the new West Allis Historical Society website have been received. F. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Mr. Noll, seconded by Ms. Wolfe to adjourn the meeting at 4:45 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
