CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mr. Gracyalny at 4:04 p.m. B. ROLL CALL Present 6- Ms. Sarah Fonaas, Mr. Devan Gracyalny, Ms. Barbara Hart, Mr. Ray Nazer, Mr. John Noll, and Ms. Patricia Wolfe Excused 1- Mayor Dan Devine Others Attending Shaun Mueller, Community & Economic Development Coordinator C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. 19-0086 January 9, 2019 (draft) Minutes A motion was made by Ms. Hart, seconded by Mr. Nazer, that the minutes of the January 9, 2019 meeting be approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Ms. Fonaas, Mr. Gracyalny, Ms. Hart, Mr. Nazer, Mr. Noll, and Ms. Wolfe No: 0 D. NEW AND PREVIOUS MATTERS 2. 19-0087 Financial Report - Devan Gracyalny, Vice Chair/Treasurer Mr. Gracyalny reported that as of February 13, 2019, the balance on hand is $5,138.67. The increase in $30.00 from last months balance came from soup sales. A motion was made by Ms. Hart, seconded by Ms. Wolfe, that the Financial Report be Approved. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Ms. Fonaas, Mr. Gracyalny, Ms. Hart, Mr. Nazer, Mr. Noll, and Ms. Wolfe No: 0 E. MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION/ACTION 3. 19-0088 Report from the West Allis Historical Society Mr. Gracyalny reported that they met with representatives from the MSOE Grahmann Museum. They would like to display some artifacts from the "Homes & Industries" section of the Grahmann Museum, at the West Allis Historical Society. Historic Preservation Month activities were also discussed. Log Schoolhouse Nothing to report. B. Seneca Station It was reported that the lights at the Seneca Station have been replaced. C. Settlers Weekend Mr. Gracyalny reported that they are still seeking a major donor for the event. If a donor is not found within the next month, the event will likely need to be cancelled. D. Historic Preservation Grant There was an issue with the submittal of the grant for this year. The grant will need to be resubmitted next year. E. Social Media Updates Barb Hart asked the committee if the West Allis Historical Commission would like to donate a basket for the Charity Gala (previously named the Dinner Dance). 5. 19-0090 Discussion regarding proposed changes to the Historic Preservation Ordinance in regards to requiring owner’s consent for local designation. An update of this Ordinance will be provided at the next meeting. 6. 19-0091 Discussion regarding May Historic Preservation Month activity. The committee discussed the possibility of holding the Open House at the Historical Museum, due to the possibility that the Farmers Market might be under construction in May. F. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Ms. Wolfe, seconded by John Noll to adjourn the meeting at 4:48 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
