City of West Allis Meeting Minutes Public Works Committee Alderperson Gary T. Barczak, Chair Alderperson Vincent Vitale, Vice-Chair Alderpersons: Thomas G. Lajsic, Rosalie L. Reinke, and Tracy Stefanski Tuesday, September 17, 2019 7:21 PM City Hall, Art Gallery 7525 W. Greenfield Ave. RECESS MEETING A. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Barczak called the meeting to order. B. ROLL CALL Present 5- Ald. Barczak, Ald. Vitale, Ald. Lajsic, Ald. Reinke, and Ald. Stefanski C. NEW AND PREVIOUS MATTERS 7. R-2019-0645 Resolution to authorize the Director of Public Works to sign the Proposal for Professional Services, including a Standard Terms and Conditions Agreement, submitted by Baxter & Woodman Consulting Engineers for services to assist the City of West Allis in performing a Optimized Corrosion Control Treatment Study for the amount of $18,000 ordered by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Sponsors: Administration and Finance Committee and Public Works Committee A motion was made by Ald. Lajsic, seconded by Ald. Reinke, that this matter was Recommended For Adoption. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Ald. Barczak, Ald. Vitale, Ald. Lajsic, Ald. Reinke, and Ald. Stefanski No: 0 8. R-2019-0657 Resolution authorizing the purchase of hardware, equipment, and service which supports the mobile use of the AssetWorks work order software for a sum not to exceed $12,000, amending the use of funds approved in the Capital Improvement Request pursuant to Resolution R-2018-0494 adopted on July 17, 2018 Sponsors: Administration and Finance Committee and Public Works Committee A motion was made by Ald. Lajsic, seconded by Ald. Stefanski, that this matter was Recommended For Adoption. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Ald. Barczak, Ald. Vitale, Ald. Lajsic, Ald. Reinke, and Ald. Stefanski No: 0 14. R-2019-0656 Resolution accepting work of Payne & Dolan, Inc. for street construction on West Lincoln Ave. from Union Pacific Railroad to South 61 Street and authorizing and directing settlement of said contract in accordance with contract terms of 2017 Project No. 8 for final payment in the amount of $7,250.10 of the $1,281,061.59 total project cost Sponsors: Public Works Committee A motion was made by Ald. Stefanski, seconded by Ald. Reinke, that this matter was Recommended For Adoption. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Ald. Barczak, Ald. Vitale, Ald. Lajsic, Ald. Reinke, and Ald. Stefanski No: 0 16. 2019-0652 Communication from the City Engineer regarding the 2020 special assessment rates A motion was made by Ald. Vitale, seconded by Ald. Reinke, that this matter was Recommended to be Placed on File. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Ald. Barczak, Ald. Vitale, Ald. Lajsic, Ald. Reinke, and Ald. Stefanski No: 0 D.
