WEST VALLEY CITY PLANNING COMMISSION Study Meeting June 17, 2020 The meeting was called to order at 3:35 p.m. by Chair Meaders using Zoom at https://zoom.us/j/95328405803 WEST VALLEY CITY PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERS Brent Fuller, David McEwen, Clover Meaders, Darrick Porter, Harold Woodruff, Cindy Wood, Mathew Lovato and Martell Winters ABSENT WEST VALLEY CITY PLANNING DIVISION STAFF Jody Knapp and Kirsten Hunt WEST VALLEY CITY ADMINISTRATION Brandon Hill, Assistant City Attorney CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATION C-10-2020 Petition by Mele Tile & Natural Stone Co., LLC requesting conditional use approval for outside storage. The property is located at 3650 W 2150 S on .43 acres and is zoned M (Manufacturing). (Staff – Jody Knapp at 801-963-3497) Discussion: Jody explained the subject property had a new business license review that included a site inspection. This review showed that the subject property needed outside clean-up, improved landscaping, and issues with the building that needs to be fixed. Jody then explained the applicant’s plans to improve the building and landscaping have been delayed due to current events. She explained the applicant is looking to put the outside storage in the back of the building and paving that area, taking down the sign on the front of the business, maintaining the façade of the building, and relocating the dumpster to behind the subject property.
