Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 5:30 p.m.
OPENING OF WORKSHOP.
1. Call meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. – President Barb Ermeling presiding.
Ermeling called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. Welcome and Introductions – Administrator Daniel Guild.
3. Oaths of Office – Clerk Sherry Weinkauf.
Committee Members took Oath of Office for new appointments and terms.
AWARDS, CELEBRATIONS, and RECOGNITIONS.
4. Special Recognition of Service to the Village: Marty Johnson
Not present.
5. Special Recognition of Service to the Village: Don Penza
Guild presented a Special Recognition Service Award to Don Penza.
6. Years of Service Recognitions.
Guild presented Years of Service Recognition awards to elected and appointed officials.
PRESENTATION BY ADMINISTRATOR GUILD.
7. Onboarding and orientation of new Village officials.
8. Discussion on Education and training topics for local government officials.
9. Future Policies and Projects.
Guild gave a presentation regarding Effective Leadership for elected and appointed
officials.

and posted on the Village website at www.westonwi.gov.
Attendance: Village Officials, Clerks, and Department Directors, please
indicate if you will, be attending so we may determine if there
will be a quorum.

emailed to local media outlets (Print, TV, and Radio) on 05/19/2017 @ 4:30 p.m. A quorum of members from all
Village governmental bodies (boards, commissions, and committees) may attend the above noticed meeting to gather
information. No actions will be taken by any other board, commission, or committee of the Village. Should a quorum
be other government bodies be present, this would constitute a meeting pursuant to State ex rel. Badke v. Greendale
Village Bd., 173 Wis.2d 553,494 N.W.2d 408 (1993). Wisconsin State Statutes require all agendas for Committee,
Commission, or Board meetings be posted in final form, 24 hours prior to the meeting. Any posted agenda is subject
to change up until 24 hours prior to the date and time of the meeting.

This special meeting of the Board of Trustees, in its 21st legislative session, composed of seven
elected members, as well as, all other officials appointed to Boards, Commissions, and
Committees of the Village, who will convene at the Weston Municipal Center’s Board Room,
located at 5500 Schofield Avenue, Weston, on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 5:30 p.m., to
participate in an annual education and training workshop for all Village officials.
