VILLAGE OF WESTON, WISCONSIN MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES Monday, October 16, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. 1. CALL TO ORDER & PRESIDENT’S WELCOME. Ermeling called the meeting to order at 6:22 p.m. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG. 3. ROLL CALL BY CLERK/RECORDING SECRETARY. Roll call indicated 6 Board of Trustee members present. Taj Jefferson, 6909 Rickyval St., said he is in opposition to the uniform addressing project. Justin Clairmore, 3205 Bruce Dr., said he has concerns with businesses having to make the change, and the costs that go along with it. He has not seen any data that shows this is necessary. He is in opposition. Andy Sutton, 6504 Zinser St., said he is in opposition. This is more than an inconvenience. He talked about the extra workload for businesses. This is county money and is not free. Rib Mountain filed an appeal today. We are much too large to do this now. Brian Bushnell, 3700 Mount View Ave., #14, said he sees this as unpopular and costly. Either decision the board makes will be wrong. Kurt Gibbs, Marathon County Board of Supervisors, explained how much the county has looked at the inconvenience. A uniform system will help to makes things quicker and accurate. This money is coming from the environmental fund and was not on the tax roll. 5. REMARKS FROM ADMINISTRATOR. 11.1 Memorandum #BFP17-01 re: Budget Workshops 11.2 Memorandum #BFP17-02 re: Official’s Role 11.3 Memorandum #BFP17-03 re: CIP 11.4 Ehlers Investment Management Proposal Guild said he emailed these budget memos to Weston officials. These will be discussed at the November 18th Finance Committee meeting. 12. REMARKS FROM TRUSTEES. Ziegler said since the vote was 3 to 3, the Board of Trustees has mixed feelings on how to move forward with the Uniform Addressing project, and since there was not a full board, he is disappointed that a vote was even taken. 13. REMARKS FROM PRESIDENT. Ermeling said the Lions Club thanked the Village for the gift basket given to them. 14. ANNOUNCEMENTS. No new announcements. 15.
