AGENDA Climate Action Plan Standing Committee Regular Meeting March 20, 2024 The regular meeting of the Climate Action Plan Standing Committee will be held on Wednesday, the 20th of March, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers Conference Room at City Hall, 415 East 2nd Street. A. Call to Order – Committee Chair Robin Paone B. Approval of Minutes from February 21st, 2024 meeting. Choose a committee vice-chair and secretary. C. Communications/Outreach/Education – Discussion about recycling, including the history of recycling in Whitefish. Craig Workman, our Public Works Director, will attend. We hope to have a city recycling timeline put together prior to the meeting. D. Project Updates o Winterland Climate Solutions Summit – March 7, 2024 (feedback) upcoming meeting with Ben Kaiser on Mass-Timber in Montana E. Upcoming Events o Earth Day Expo April 20th (9am to 4 pm) at FVCC Arts & Technology Building https://www.citizensclimatemt.org/earth-day-flathead-valley-montana o April 30th ((9 am to 1 pm) Weatherization and Electrification Workshop at Whitefish City Hall. Tour of an All electric, Pre-Fab, Passive Whitefish Home at 2 pm. o ICLEI membership update –Have Alyssa Wilbur provide a review of the WF CAP at a future meeting. Proposed for future CAP committee meetings – o visit to the Center for Sustainability & Entrepreneurship o Alissa LaChance with Dirt Rich on Composting o Invite Jami Belt of GNP to discuss Electrification of Transportation in Glacier Park F.
