Park Board Meeting Minutes November 10, 2020 Park Board Members Present: Ron Brunk, Jim DeHerrera, Ray Boksich, Terri Dunn, Frank Sweeney, and Carrie O’Reilly Park Board Members Absent: Guests: Greg Gunderson, Shiva Solaimanian and David Laing City Staff Present: Maria Butts and Mary Blubaugh A. Call to Order: 7:00 p.m. B. Approval of the November 10, 2020 Agenda – Member Dunn moved to accept the agenda as presented. Member Sweeney seconded. A vote was taken with all ayes. C. Approval of the September 15, 2020 Meeting Minutes – Member Boksich moved to accept the minutes as presented. Member Sweeney seconded. A vote was taken with all ayes. D. Public Comments – None E. Committee Reports a. Bicycle/Pedestrian Committee – Vice President DeHerrera said there were no big updates. The pedestrian tunnel is expected to be done this week and can be used during the winter. The final surfacing and landscape will be done in the spring. b. Tree Advisory Committee – Member Dunn said there were no new reports. c. WSFF Board – Member Sweeney received the budget update but had not reviewed them yet. d. WAG Board – Member Boksich said all projects were complete. The Park Board was shown photos of the completed projects. F. Presentation – Update from Forestoration on the Irrigation and Landscape Plan. Greg Gunderson and Shiva Solaimanian reviewed the Draft Landscape Analysis with the Park Board. David Laing from Sure Water reviewed the Draft Irrigation Analysis. David went over the wastewater issues as well as other irrigation issues. Discussion and questions from the Park Board were fielded by Greg, Shiva, and David. The Board gave feedback for moving forward. They would like to see some cost analysis, detailed recommendations, and general standards. Priority areas need to be determined as well. G. Public Hearings – None H. Old Business – None I. New Business – Consideration of continuing remoted meetings until further notice and cancellation of the December Park Board meeting. Vice President DeHerrera made a motion to continue remote Park Board meetings and to cancel the December Park Board meeting. Member O’Reilly seconded. A vote was taken with all ayes. J. Other Items - None K. Items from Parks and Recreation Department a. Administrative Report –Director Butts informed the Park Board the Whitefish Rising statue had been installed on the north west sidewalk of Central Ave. b. Recreation Coordinator Report- Reviewed with no questions. c. Maintenance Report – Reviewed with no questions. d. Community Service Coordinator Report – Reviewed with no questions. L.
