Planning and Zoning Meeting

CITY OF WILLARD PLANNING & ZONING SEPTEMBER 23RD, 2008 7:00 P.M. Commission present: Chairmen, Dale Duvall; Vice Chairmen, Lucille Murray; Executive Secretary, Bradley Dalton; Valorie Simpson; and Charlie Gugel. Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft and Robert Taylor were not present. Also in attendance: City Clerk, Kathy Blakemore, Director of Development, Randy Brown; and City Attorney Representative, Sativa Boatman-Sloan. Guest present: Janet Adams. Chairmen Dale Duvall called the meeting to order. Roll Call City Clerk, Kathy Blakemore called the roll call-Robert Taylor---------; Charlie Gugel-present; Valorie Simpson-present; Dale Duvall-present; Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft----------; Bradley Dalton-present; and Lucille Murray-present. Robert Taylor and Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft were not present. Agenda Amendments/Approval of agenda Motion made by Lucille Murray with second by Bradley Dalton to approve the agenda. Charlie Gugel-I; Valorie Simpson-I; Dale Duvall-I; Bradley Dalton-I; and Lucille Murray-I. All votes yes. Motion carried. Minutes 08/26/08 Motion made by Lucille Murray with second by Charlie Gugel to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on August 26th, 2008. Charlie Gugel-I; Valorie Simpson-I; Dale Duvall-I; Bradley Dalton-I; and Lucille Murray-I. All votes yes. Motion carried. Proposed Administrative Re-plat-Lot 7 Roundtree Addition Director of Development, Randy Brown stated that this re-plat creates two lots that are well over the required sq. footage for R-1 district. Also, the existing house will have the required setbacks for an R-1 district. Randy stated that staff recommends approval of this re-plat. Motion made by Lucille Murray with second by Valorie Simpson to recommend to the Board of Aldermen approval of the Administrative Re-plat of Lot 7 in Roundtree Addition. Citizen Input None Planning & Zoning Minutes Page 1 of 2 September 23rd, 2008 Old Business Director of Development, Randy Brown stated that the bids were opened for the chlorination project and Singer Construction was the lowest bid. The chlorination bid will be awarded at the next regular Board of Aldermen Meeting. Also, Randy stated that the city has received the final drawings for the sidewalks design. The city has been discussing possible CID (Community Improvement District) with a potential developer for the corner of Highway 160 and AB.
