Planning and Zoning Meeting

CITY OF WILLARD, MISSOURI PLANNING AND ZONING REGULAR MEETING July 28, 2015 7:00 P.M. Staff present: City Administrator, J. Everett Mitchell; Director of Development, Randy Brown and City Clerk, Dale Duvall Meeting opened by Chairman Adam Shelledy at 7:00 Roll Call Present: Lucille Murray, David Helton, Valorie Simpson, Adam Shelledy, Mayor Corey Hendrickson and Alderman David Larimore. Terry Kathcart was not present Approval of Agenda Motion was made by Alderman Larimore to approve the agenda with a second by Lucille Murray. Motion carried with a vote 6-0. Voting Aye: David Helton, Valorie Simpson, Adam Shelledy, Mayor Hendrickson, Lucille Murray and Alderman Larimore. Approval of Minutes from June 23, 2015 Motion made by Valorie Simpson with a second by Lucille Murray to approve the minutes. Motion carried with a vote of 6-0. Voting Aye: David Helton, Valorie Simpson, Alderman Larimore, Mayor Hendrickson, Lucille Murray and Adam Shelledy. Citizen Input None Discussion/recommendation to Board of Aldermen on the request by Hamilton Properties for a minor subdivision to be located at Hughes Rd and Hwy 160. There was discussion about the intersection of Hughes Rd and Hwy. 160. Randy Brown spoke about a possible cooperative effort between MoDot, developer and the City of Willard if needed. He also spoke that a preliminary plat would have to be approved before building permits could be issued. Motion made by Lucille Murray with a second by Adam Shelledy. Motion carried with a vote 6-0. Voting Aye: David Helton, Valorie Simpson, Adam Shelledy, Mayor Hendrickson, Lucille Murray and Alderman Larimore. Old Business Randy spoke about the Freedom Bank progress on their CLOMR request. New Business Willard Public School is looking to expand their agricultural program on to approximately 80 acres zoned R-1. Discussion followed about zoning and about program. Adjourn meeting Lucille Murray made the motion with a second by David Helton to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried with a vote of 6-0. Voting Aye: David Helton, Valorie Simpson, Adam Shelledy, Mayor Hendrickson, Lucille Murray and Alderman Larimore.
