Planning and Zoning Meeting

CITY OF WILLARD, MISSOURI PLANNING AND ZONING REGULAR MEETING September 22, 2015 7:00 P.M. Staff present: City Administrator, J. Everett Mitchell; Interim City Clerk, Cheryl Bouton and Director of Development, Randy Brown Guest Present: Jack Minnick and Hendrickson Jr. Meeting opened by Vice-Chair Lucille Murray at 7:00 Roll Call Present: Lucille Murray, David Helton, Alderman Paul Hood, Mayor Corey Hendrickson and Valorie Simpson. Adam Shelledy and Terry Kathcart were absent. Approval of Agenda Motion was made by Valorie Simpson with a second by David Helton to approve agenda. Motion carried with a vote of 5-0. Voting Aye: Lucille Murray, David Helton, Valorie Simpson, Mayor Hendrickson and Alderman Paul Hood. Approval of minutes from minutes July 28, 2015 Motion was made by Valorie Simpson with a second by Paul Hood to approve minutes. Motion carried with a vote of 4-0. Voting Aye: Lucille Murray, David Helton, Valorie Simpson and Mayor Hendrickson. Alderman Paul Hood abstained. Citizens Input None Discussion/Vote for Sketch plan of Green Acres Subdivision for Jack Minnick. Randy Brown spoke about the location of sewer, water lines and gas pipe line. There are some minor mistakes on the sketch plan that he has addressed with Stribling Surveying and will be corrected on the preliminary plat. Alderman Paul Hood asked Mr. Minnick what type of homes he planned. Mr. Minnick responded that he would like to see high end homes in the 2,000- 3,000 square ft. range since they will be on large lots. Motion was made by Valorie Simpson with a second by Paul Hood to approve the sketch plan. Motion carried with a vote of 5-0. Voting Aye: Lucille Murray, David Helton, Valorie Simpson, Alderman Paul Hood and Mayor Hendrickson. Old Business Hamilton easements final is being recorded tomorrow. Matt Kelly and Randy Brown are looking at Proctor Road expansion. New Business Randy Brown is working with a small manufacturing company and the possibility of them relocating to Willard. Adjourn Meeting Alderman Paul Hood made the motion to adjourn meeting at 7:17 P.M. with a second by David Helton. Motion carried with a vote of 5-0. Voting Aye: Lucille Murray, David Helton, Valorie Simpson, Alderman Paul Hood and Mayor Hendrickson.
