Commission Meeting

November 2, 2022 A regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners was held on November 2, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at the city Meeting Room. Present Commissioners John Clausen, Lisa Hedstrom, and Jim Schacher. In Pres. LeeAnn Domonoske-Kellar’s absence the meeting was chaired by Comm. Clausen. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded by Schacher to approve the agenda as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded by Schacher to approve the minutes from the October 5, 2022 and October 19, 2022 meeting as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Justin Birst with A & J Rentals was present to discuss the progress he made cleaning up his property north of the City. Birst stated he was waiting on the soil sample results from the lab and provided documentation the lab was back logged. The matter was tabled until soil tests are completed Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Hedstrom to approve Sunne Lutheran Church’s Application for Abatement or Refund of Taxes to have October through December 2022 property taxes abated for the parsonage located at 209 Louise Avenue. All present aye, motion carried. The owner of 602 Minnesota Avenue will be sent a letter giving them until November 18, 2022 to finish tearing the house down and to have the basement filled in. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Hedstrom to pay bills as presented. Roll call vote. Aye: Comm. Hedstrom, Schacher and Clausen. Absent: Pres. Domonoske-Kellar and Comm. Kary. Motion carried.
