Commission Meeting

February 15, 2023 A regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners was held on February 15, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Meeting Room. Present Commissioners John Clausen, Bill Kary, Jim Schacher and Pres. LeeAnn Domonoske-Kellar. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Kary to approve the minutes from February 1, 2023 meeting as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by Schacher to approve the agenda as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. McLean County will be doing road improvements on 18th St SW, which include redoing the curve by the Wilton Lagoons. Motion made by Kary and seconded by Schacher to sell a permanent right-away easement to McLean County for $1,440.00. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Clausen to approve the Wilton PTO’s request for free use of the Memorial Hall on March 24, 2023. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Kary to apply for the Lead Service line Inventory Assistance program. All present voted aye, motion carried. The current contract for garbage services ends on June 30, 2023. The City will hold a bid opening at the April 19, 2023 meeting for the garbage services contract for the next 5 years. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Kary to approve the 2022 financial report as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Clausen to waive rental fees for the Memorial Hall on July 11-15, 2024 for Wilton’s 125th Anniversary celebration. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded from Clausen to pay bills as presented. Roll call vote. Aye: Comm. Clausen, Kary, Schacher, and Pres. Domonoske-Kellar. Absent: Comm. Hedstrom. Motion carried.
