Commission Meeting

June 7, 2023 A regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners was held on June 7, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Meeting Room. Present Commissioners John Clausen, Bill Kary, Lisa Hedstrom, Jim Schacher and Pres. LeeAnn Domonoske-Kellar. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by Schacher to approve the minutes from May 17, 2023 meeting as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Kary and seconded by Hedstrom to approve the agenda as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by Schacher to approve the updated dates on the Dollar for Scholars gaming application as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Dustin Clausen was present to discuss the setback issue with the house he is building at 509 Burleigh Road. General discussion was held about the situation. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Kary to approve the commercial building permit for John Clausen to construct a 6-foot fence at 122 Burleigh Road. Aye: Comm. Kary, Hedstrom, Schacher and Pres. Domonoske-Kellar. Abstain: Comm. Clausen. Motion carried. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded by Schacher to approve the engagement letter from Brady Martz to audit the City's 2022 financials. All present voted aye, motion carried. The City has made numerous attempts to contact the owner of 310 Burleigh Road about their broken curb stop. The City will obtain an estimate replace the curb stop. Motion made by Kary and seconded by Clausen to appoint Alex Applegate to the Planning and Zoning Board. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by Hedstrom to pay bills as presented. Roll call vote. Aye: Comm. Clausen, Kary, Hedstrom, Schacher and Pres. Domonoske-Kellar. Motion carried. With no other items for discussion, Pres.
