Commission Meeting

September 20 2023 A regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners was held on September 20, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Meeting Room. Present Commissioners John Clausen, Bill Kary, Lisa Hedstrom and Jim Schacher. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded by Schacher to approve the minutes from September 6, 2023 meeting as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Hedstrom to approve the agenda as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Kary to approve Tand Construction payment request 9 for the 2022 Improvement project for $209,668.75 as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motin made by Kary and seconded by Schacher to approve Tand Construction payment request 2 for the 2023 Improvement project for $682,992.22 as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Hedstrom for the City to cover the cost of the steel plates needed to repair the sidewalk in front of 28 Dakota Avenue. All present voted aye, motion carried. The total cost for the steel plate is $1,798.40. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Kary to approve the County Line Cafe liquor license transfer to the Memorial Hall on September 23, 2023 for a wedding reception. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Kary and seconded by Schacher to approve paying the Refunding Improvement Bond of 2014 payment of $5,560.00, Refunding Improvement Bond of 2013 payment of $3,355.00 and the Water and Sewer Bond of 2006 payment of $1.165.00. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Kary and seconded by Henstrom to pay bills as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. With no other items for discussion, Comm.
