Commission Meeting

October 4, 2023 A regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners was held on October 4, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Meeting Room. Present Commissioners Bill Kary, Lisa Hedstrom and Jim Schacher and President LeeAnn Domonoske-Kellar by speaker phone. Motion made by Kary and seconded by Hedstrom to approve the minutes from the September 20, 2023 meeting as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Hedstrom to approve the agenda as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. The City received 3 bids to remove the structure at 314 S. 4th Street. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded by Kary to accept the bid from Myron Basaraba for $8,500. All present voted aye, motion carried. General discussion was held about the Wilton RV Park during the 125th celebration to be held in July 2024. Approximately 36 temporary spots can be added. The City will contact the Farmers Union Elevator for approval. The gaming permit for Delta Waterfowl was tabled due to improper dates on the application. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Kary to approve closing Dakota Avenue between 2nd Street and Railway Avenue from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for the annual Trunk-or-Treat event on October 31, 2023. All present voted aye, motion carried. At this time Ken Huisman was giving a chance to speak to the commission concerning his property at 314 S. 4th Street. The Commission agreed to give Huisman until October 15, 2023 to remove items from the property. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Kary to pay bills as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. With no other items for discussion, Pres.
