Commission Meeting

November 1, 2023 A regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners was held on November 1, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Meeting Room. Present Commissioners John Clausen, Bill Kary, Lisa Hedstrom, Jim Schacher and President LeeAnn Domonoske-Kellar. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by Kary to approve the minutes from the October 18, 2023 meeting as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Kary to approve the agenda as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Discussion was held about the condition of the east doors are the Memorial Hall. The doors are rusting out. Replacing and repairing the doors was discussed. Commission Schacher stated he would be able to replace the rusting metal on the doors. Motion made Kary and seconded by Clausen to repair the east doors. All present voted aye, motion carried. The City was informed the roof of the Memorial Hall is beyond repair and needs to be replaced. Previous Commissions were informed the Memorial Hall roof needed to be replaced but took no action on the issue. The city is currently waiting on estimates for the cost of replacing the roof. Randy and SuAnn Olsen were present to request use of the Memorial Hall for the newly formed youth W3 Wrestling Club. The Club plans to meet twice a week starting in January 2024. Motion made Schacher and seconded Kary to wave rental fees for the W3 Wrestling Club. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion Made by Schacher and seconded by Hedstrom to approve the preliminary plat for the Liberty Acres subdivision as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Hedstrom and seconded by Clausen to pay bills as presented. Roll call vote. Aye: Comm. Clausen, Kary, Hedstrom, Schacher and Pres. Domonoske-Kellar. Motion carried. With no other items for discussion, Pres.
