Commission Meeting

July 03, 2024 A regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners was held on July 3, 2024, at 7:01 p.m. at the City Meeting Room. Present Commissioners John Clausen, Bernell Hedstrom, Lisa Hedstrom and President LeeAnn Domonoske-Kellar. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by L. Hedstrom to approve the minutes from the June 19, 2024 meeting as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by L. Hedstrom and seconded by Clausen to approve the agenda as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Kathy Speten and Alan Wagner were present to discuss their concerns over the new water billing policy. Speten and Wagner questioned why landowners and tenants were not notified and able to voice their opinion prior to new policy being implemented. Motion made by L. Hedstrom and seconded by Pres. Domonoske-Kellar to revert the water billing policy change from the June 19, 2024 meeting and pay 0.1% annual interest rate on water deposits. Roll call vote. Aye: Comm. B. Hedstrom, L. Hedstrom and Pres. Domonoske-Kellar. Nay: Comm. Clausen. Absent: Comm. Schacher. Motion carried. General discussion was held about 2025 budget. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by B. Hedstrom to approve the 2025 police contract for $105,349.08. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by Kary to pay bills as presented. Roll call vote. Aye: Comm. Clausen, B. Hedstrom, L. Hedstrom and Pres. Domonoske-Kellar. Absent: Comm. Schacher. Motion carried. With no other items for discussion Pres.
