Commission Meeting

August 21, 2024 A regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners was held on August 21, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the City Meeting Room. Present Commissioners John Clausen, Bernell Hedstrom, Lisa Hedstrom, Jim Schacher and President LeeAnn Domonoske-Kellar. Motion made by L. Hedstrom and seconded by Schacher to approve the minutes from the August 7, 2024 meeting as presented. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by B. Hedstrom to approve the agenda with the addition of SRF Loan Payments and Emergency Sirens under new business. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motin made by Clausen and seconded by B. Hedstrom to approve Tand Construction pay application 14 for the 2022 Improvement Project for $330,473.37. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motin made by Schacher and seconded by L. Hedstrom to approve Tand Construction pay application 6 for the 2023 Improvement Project for $504,884.75. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by B. Hedstrom to approve the liquor license transfer for the County Line Café to the Memorial Hall on September 7, 2024 for a wedding reception. All present voted aye, motion carried. The Commission decided to cancel the September 18, 2024. Several of the City Officials and staff will be attending the League of City Conference in Grand Forks, ND. Motion made Clausen and seconded by Schacher to pay the Water and Sewer Revenue Bond Series 2022A for $41,245.93 and the Water and Sewer Revenue Bond Series 2022B for $47,365.16. All present voted aye, motion carried. The 3 emergency sirens town need a combined estimated $10,000 worth of repairs. Motion made by Schacher and seconded by Clausen to request the funds from the Sales and Use Tax Commission. All present voted aye, motion carried. Motion made by Clausen and seconded by Schacher to pay bills as presented. Roll call vote. Aye: Comm. Clausen, B. Hedstrom, L. Hedstrom and Pres. Domonoske-Kellar. Absent: Comm. Schacher.
