Community Values Discussion We began by reintroducing ourselves and why we became involved on the finance committee. George Cross gave a detailed history of the downtown development. We all agreed that one of our tasks was to decide how we would help the citizens of Winooski decide what to do with the TIF money. We all agreed that our role was to take a broader view than discussing details of the budget. We all agreed that it was not up to us to develop ideas for specific projects but to allocate the money based upon community values. At our next meeting with the city officials, we want 1. To develop more completely and concretely what our task is 2. Develop a plan to coordinate with the other commissions 3.
