Box A * Withee, Wisconsin 54498 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING The Village of Withee Planning Commission met on January 29, 2025, at 6:30 pm in the Municipal Building, Conference Room. Chairperson Pawlukiewicz called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm Roll call was answered by Everett Lindgren, Kevin Thorson, Pat Esker, Randy Shelton, Terry Pawlukiewicz, Lynn Van Winkle, and DPW Derek Schad. Village Clerk Niemi recorded the minutes. Cindy Cardinal also attended. The plan commission was called because property owners of parcels 191.0229.001, 191.0227.000, and 191.226.000 have buildings on the north end of parcel 191.0229.000 which is owned by the Village of Withee. The assessor caught the issue during revalue of the municipality. The planning commission met to discuss how to remedy the issue. It is unknown why the storage sheds on parcel 191.0229.001 were allowed to be built on Village property in 2009 and 2010. Pawlukiewicz felt the garage on parcel 191.0227.000 was built in the 1940s. The Village assessor said the owners would gain approximately a tenth of an acre which would bring in about $30-50 in tax revenue annually. The board discussed selling approximately 310 ft (east to west) x 58 ft (south to north) of the northern end of Village-owned parcel 191.0229.000 by the water plant to square off the property lines. DPW Derek Schad doesn’t need that strip of land which is low and wet. Denzine Surveying gave a quote of approximately $3,500 to survey, describe, and map (after recording of deeds) 4 lots via Clark County Certified Survey Map (CSM) which would cost each of the four property owners approximately $875. Each owner would also be responsible for the quit claim deed for around $250-$300 by whomever they hire. With a CSM, each owner gets a CSM at a reduced rate which has value when selling property. A Lindgren/Thorson motion to recommend to the Village Board to sell approximately 310 ft (east to west) x 58 ft (north to south) of Village owned parcel 191.0229.000 divided to square up the parcels 191.0229.001, 191.0227.000, and 191.0226.000 for the costs of a certified survey map (CSM) and the quit claim deed carried with all ayes.
