Box A * Withee, Wisconsin 54498 The Village of Withee Board met on June 12, 2023, in the Municipal Building, Conference Room at 6:30 p.m. for the regular board meeting. ROLL CALL President Lindgren called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered by Trustees Lindgren, Shelton, Gehrke, Frankewicz, and Kalepp. Clerk Niemi recorded the minutes. Also present were DPW Derek Schad and Cindy Cardinal. MINUTES A Frankewicz/Kalepp motion to approve the minutes of the May 8, 2023, regular meeting and May 8, 2023, organizational meeting carried with all ayes. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS A Kalepp/Frankewicz motion to approve the monthly financial statements for the General, Water, and Sewer Accounts carried with all ayes. PAYMENT OF BILLS A Shelton/Gehrke motion to approve paying the General Account checks 36196 thru 36255, Water Account checks 7231 thru 7244, and Sewer Account check 2551 thru 2554 carried with all ayes. PAYROLL REPORT The board reviewed the employee time cards and payroll report. Trustee Frankewicz questioned the rate for call-in for DPW Schad which will be reviewed at the next meeting. COMMUNITY INPUT There was no community input. COMMITTEE REPORT President Lindgren reported on the police committee meeting that Officer Haugstad had trouble with the air on his vehicle, and the police chief contract is still under review by Attorney Wachsmuth. POLICE REPORT A Frankewicz/Shelton motion to approve the police bills paid 05/04/2023 to 06/07/2023 carried with all ayes. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DPW Schad reported that the curbs and lines are painted, and the ditches are mowed. Visu-Sewer is quoting for Medford, Owen, and Withee to do work at the same time to lower the cost. The John Deere rep is quoting a wing setup and a new endloader. Schad feels it would be best to purchase a 4-wheeler for plowing sidewalks since there is already a sander and a sprayer for a 4-wheeler. Two water samples were sent in to test for PFAS and none was detected. The high service motor that was ordered should arrive soon and he will wire it in. GENERAL DEPARTMENT A Frankewicz/Kalepp motion to approve Class “B” licenses for: Withee Community Softball League, Agent Jackie Jo Peissig; Withee Mobil Mart d/b/a Withee BP (Suite A), Agent Deanne Wells; Withee Mobil Mart d/b/a Chester’s Chicken (Suite B), Agent Deanne Wells; Black River Sportsmen’s Club, Agent Jeffrey Greschner carried with all ayes. A Kalepp/Gehrke motion to approve Temporary Class “B” license for O-W Lions Club, Agent Daniel Hiipakka carried with all ayes. A Gehrke/Shelton motion to approve “Class B” licenses for: Jason Thornton d/b/a IGYS Bar & Grill, Agent Samantha Thornton; Midway Bar LLC, Agent Dawn Burkhardt carried with all ayes. A Gehrke/Frankewicz motion to approve operator licenses for: Jackie J. Peissig, Corrie L. Bottlemy, Nicole S. LePage, Jacalyn C. Reinke carried with all ayes. A Kalepp/Shelton motion to adjourn at 6:42 p.m. carried with all ayes.
