Box A * Withee, Wisconsin 54498 The Village of Withee Board met on December 11, 2023, in the Municipal Building, Conference Room, at 6:30 p.m. for the regular board meeting. ROLL CALL President Lindgren called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered by Trustees Lindgren, Shelton, Mueller, Frankewicz, and Kalepp. Clerk Niemi recorded the minutes. Also, present were Cindy Cardinal and DPW Derek Schad. MINUTES A Kalepp/Mueller motion to approve the minutes for the November 13, 2023 regular meeting, November 13, 2023 budget meeting, and November 30, 2023 budget hearing carried with all ayes. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS A Shelton/Frankewicz motion to approve the monthly financial statements for the General, Water, and Sewer Accounts carried with all ayes. PAYMENT OF BILLS A Frankewicz/Kalepp motion to approve paying the General Account checks 36490 thru 36545, Water Account checks 7312 thru 7323, and Sewer Account checks 2568 thru 2572 carried with all ayes. PAYROLL REPORT The board reviewed the employee time cards and payroll report. COMMUNITY INPUT There was no community input. COMMITTEE REPORT Trustee Kalepp reported that the library installed a new security video system. PUBLIC NUISANCE/ABATEMENT ORDER The board reviewed the public nuisance/abatement order for 805 Dania Street. The judge’s order gives the property owner until May 1, 2024 to abate the issues or the Village of Withee will complete abatement. The property owner is responsible for the municipality’s fees and costs of the action and fees and costs for any abatement. POLICE REPORT The police traffic and incident reports were reviewed. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS DPW Schad reported that Haas jetted the sewer on Eastwood Street between Dania and Clover Streets and removed a lot of rocks and sewage. They will televise when the camera gets repaired to see if lining is required. The John Deere dealer fixed the relief valve which was bypassing relief and putting pressure directly into the tank on the wing. A trip spring was ordered which can be used on the next endloader. The back furnace at the municipal building is not working and will need a sensor replaced by N.L. Stock. GENERAL DEPARTMENT A Frankewicz/Kalepp motion to approve the list of election inspectors for 2024-2025 carried with all ayes. A Shelton/Frankewicz motion to give the full-time employees a $50 Christmas gift and part-time employees a $25 Christmas gift carried with all ayes. A Frankewicz/Mueller motion to approve the 2024 employee wage and benefit schedule as presented carried with all ayes. A Kalepp/Mueller motion to adjourn at 6:47 p.m. carried with all ayes.
