DATED: 5-28-25 NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE OF WONEWOC There was a regular meeting of the Wonewoc Village Board at the Village Hall in the Village of Wonewoc at 6:00 p.m. 5-28-25. Committee Reports Finance Report – reviewed Trial Balance Sewer & Water – substantial completion date of Treatment Plant on-hold Electric – electric chairperson has scheduled meeting with Elroy electric Police Report – W-C truancy issues continue Streets & Roads – no issues Parks & Tourism – chairperson submitted a list of action items Library Report – special meeting called for Wed. 6-4-25; solar project 1. Motion to approve Open Book for Thursday, 6-12-25 from 1pm to 3pm and Board of Review for Thursday, 6-19-25 from 2pm to 4pm. by Roehling, 2nd by Schmidt – passed 2. Motion to approve Temporary Class B “Picnic” License to Wisconsin Moto Guzzi Riders, Inc. for July 31, 2025, to August 3, 2025, at the Legion Park Campgrounds. by Stokes, 2nd by Kucher - passed 3. Motion to approve the revising of Ordinance No. 2006-02 Neighborhood Electric Vehicles to include all sources of fuel by Schmidt, 2nd by Roehling - passed. Steve Roy to handle 4. Motion to TABLE settlement with League of Municipalities Insurance Company on village sewer backup claim until all costs are accumulated by Schmidt, 2nd by Roehling 5. Motion to TABLE negotiations with the League of Municipalities Insurance Company on the village sewer backup claim by Roraff, 2nd by Schmidt – passed 6. Motion to approve the Parks & Tourism Committee to work with Alicia Cosnahan to locate donated art sculptures by Roehling, 2nd Schumann – passed, Amendment to #6 – approve Allicia Cosnahan painting the retaining wall at South Town park by Roehling, 2nd by Schumann - passed 7. Motion to approve Polly Benish’s appointment to the Library Board by Roraff, 2nd by Roehling – passed 8. Motion to open the Village Public Pool for the summer swimming season contingent upon the confirmation of the administrator that the facility and staffing comply with all required state and local regulation by Stokes, 2nd by Roehling – passed. Tentative opening June 6, 2025. 9. Motion to relocate the Hoover Hotel from its current location to an area less susceptible to flooding by Schumann,2nd by Schmidt – passed. Parks committee to recommend sites, determine who will move it and absorb the costs 10. Discuss and possibly take action to approve CMAR Report as presented by Shane Huebel by Roraff, 2nd by Roehling - passed 11. Motion to approve “Amendment to Owner-Engineer Agreement” on USDA Treatment Plant project by Schmidt, 2nd by Roehling - passed 12. Motion to approve USDA Pay Request 2022-35 by Schumann, 2nd by Roehling - passed 13. Motion to open two separate accounts for the USDA Depreciation Reserve and Debt Reserve by Schumann, 2nd by Roehling – passed, Finance committee to research bank options. 14. Motion to approve the village computer operating system software to be upgraded to Windows 11 by Roraff, 2nd by Roehling – passed. Windows 10 support is being discontinued. 15. Motion to approve the administrator to work with the Finance Committee chair to research the possibility of transitioning from landlines to an internet-based phone system, including total cost of the project, additional equipment needed and any project annual savings by Schumann, 2nd by Schmidt – passed 16.
