There was a regular meeting of the Wonewoc Village Board at the Village Hall in the
Village of Wonewoc at 6:00 p.m. 6-25-25.

1. Wonewoc Development Corporation’s request to proceed with an
‘Interconnection Application’ (PSC-119) to Wonewoc Utilities and the state
Public Service Commission for solar electricity generation on behalf of the
Village of Wonewoc. The form preparation, electrical details (one-line
diagram), and plans at no cost to the village.
Motion to approve by Schmidt, 2nd by Roraff- passed
2. Communication and Discussion Only - Status updates on the formal complaints
filed with the Wisconsin Public Service Commission and other legal inquiries
regarding Ordinance #2025-1 Fixed Sewer Sanitary Fee.
3. Communication, Discussion and possibly take action (if required) on amended
Ordinance #2025-1 Fixed Sewer Sanitary Fee. (Drafted March 2025, Approved April
2025). An Investigative review to include but not limited to language and definitions
of amended ordinance, perform an in-depth rate structure analysis,
communications, utility billing system corrections and review of the overall approval
process.

4. Previous tabled (May meeting) – Motion to take action on reimbursement of the total
damage claim cost of $17,658.00 (Mitigation $7,007.14, Restoration $10,650.86)
caused by village sewer main backup at 102 N. Rd Wonewoc, WI. by Schmidt, 2nd
by Roehling- passed
5. Previous tabled (May meeting) - Discuss and possibly take action to approve the
proposed agreement with the Statewide Services Insurance Company on the village
sewer backup claim at 102 N. Rd Wonewoc, WI.. Total claim costs to be split
equally 50/50 totaling $17,658.00 (Mitigation $7,007.14, Restoration $10,650.86).
Wonewoc Water & Sewer Department portion equaling $8,829, by Schmidt, 2nd by

6. Motion to approve USDA Draw Number 2022-36 by Roraff, 2nd by Roraff - passed
7. Motion to create a Communication and Technology committee/task force. The
primary objective will be to assess the overall condition of the current system(s)
comprehensively. Identify any “areas of concern” based on risk assessment.
Evaluate opportunities for enhancements, system upgrades (software and
hardware) to meet the operational needs of the village and its employees, estimate
costs, and to work with departmental chairs to propose actionable agenda items to
the board for approval by Schumann, NO second.
8. Motion to approve the quote from Hillsboro Telephone to provide Internet & Wi-Fi at
the pool and campsites by Schmidt, 2nd by Kucher – passed
9. Motion to approve a .gov email address for Tim Garfoot by Schmidt, 2nd by Kucher -
passed.
10. Motion to TABLE the funding for the purchase of a laptop computer for Tim Garfoot.
The purposed office location will be in the new treatment plant by Schmidt, 2nd by
Roehling
11. Motion to approve operator license for Brianna Miles (Legion Post 206) & Lauren
Broadbent (Zzip Stop) by Schumann, 2nd by Schmidt - passed
