The City of Yukon Park Board met for their regular meeting on Wednesday May 19, 2021,
6:00 p.m. at the Huckaba Bldg., 532 W. Main, Yukon, OK.
Roll Call: (Present) Joe Edwards, Chairman
Joe Baumann, Vice Chairman
Stephen Nelson
Jason Hammett
Absent: Cathy Wright
Others Present: Jan Scott and Quincy Rinkle
Item 1: Approval of the minutes Wednesday, April 21, 2021
Joe Bauman moved to approve the minutes from April 21, 2021. Jason Hammett seconded
the motion.
The vote: Ayes: Baumann, Nelson, Edwards and Hammett
Nays: None
The Vote 4-0
Motion Carried
Item 2: Park Board meeting with City Council, May 18
Joe Edwards gave a report on his presentation to the City Council. He reported he was very
open with the Council that the City needs to take care of what we have before we spend
money on new projects. He gave the high s& lows of the department during Covid year 2020.
Item 3: Summer Events/Programs/Pools
Jan and Quincy said planned for the summer are the popular Friday Fun Days, Summer
Camp, youth baseball, swimming & lessons at City Splash and Concerts in the Park.
Item 4: Staff/Personnel Reports
No reports on personnel or staff.
Item 5: Park Board Inspections – Kimbell Park
Written reports were turned in.

Jason Hammett - He said he is looking forward to July 4th.
Stephen Nelson – Stephen said “Kudos” to the City for running a successful youth baseball
program and thanked Joe Edwards for his report to the Council.
Joe Baumann - Joe said summer seems to be really busy and he is looking forward to
Freedom Fest.
Joe Edwards - Joe Edwards asked if can condense them to one report for all the park
inspections.
Item 7: New Business
Stephen Nelson initiated a discussion on buying a bench in honor of Ed Jezioro, long time
Yukon Park Board Member. The Board expressed they would like this to be an agenda item.
They stated their support for doing this project for Ed. Joe Edwards thanked Stephen for
stepping up to doing something to honor Ed’s service on the Board.
