Park Board Yukon Park Board Minutes March 20, 2024 The Yukon Park Board met in regular session at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20th, at the Mary Huckaba Building, 532 West Main Street, Yukon, OK 73099. I. Call to Order Joe Edwards, Chairman – Ward 1 called the meeting to order. II. Roll Call ROLL CALL: (Present) Joe Edwards – Chairman – Warrd 1 Joe Baumann – Vice Chairman – Ward 4 Stephen Nelson – Ward 2 Jessica Limestall-Kerr – Ward 3 Tim Rhodes – At Large OTHERS PRESENT: Ryan McClure, Parks and Recreation Director Ashley Geddes, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Bryan Kelley, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director Kahlil Garner, Parks and Recreation Office Coordinator III. Visitors/Special Guests/Public Comments None IV. Approval of the minutes from February 21, 2024 The board began by reading the minutes from the February 21st meeting. Joe Edwards moved that they accept the minutes as written, Stephen Nelson motion, and Tim Rhodes second. Passed. V. Parks and Recreation Department Report and Project Update City of Yukon | P. O. Box 850500 | Yukon, OK 73085  Park Board Parks and Recreation Department Report and Project Update 1. Staff Work Overview a. Special Projects crew is finishing up the cleanup of smaller Christmas in the Park items such as tree light wrappings. b. Parks Maintenance has been spraying the parks, planting trees, laying and watering sod, and working on numerous park projects. c. Special Events staff coordinated the Kids Trout Fishout in early March and will be hosting the Taste of Yukon tomorrow night. They are also in the planning stages of Senior Games and Festival of the Child. d. Athletics staff are running the youth baseball league on weeknights and just finished up basketball season; Softball season coming up quickly as well; Field maintenance. e. Aquatics staff are working on summer hiring, facility projects, and summer season preparation. f. Facility staff are operating facilities, running programs, working on facility projects, and finalizing summer program details. g. Admin staff have been working on the general and capital budget for next fiscal year and department project management of more than 20 projects. 2. Projects a. Current Projects i.
