Reception at HighGround - Held at 830 N. 4th Avenue, Phoenix All meetings are to be held in the noted Legislator's/staff member's office or conference room to discuss the following topics: AGENDA TOPICS A. CONSTRUCTION SALES TAX: Only approve modifications to the construction sales tax system that create a long-term, sustainable policy that (i) maintains state and municipal revenues; (ii) ensures local revenues are received at the location in which the construction activity occurs; (iii) provides simplicity for the industry; and (iv) improves compliance. B. PUBLIC SAFETY PERSONNEL RETIREMENT SYSTEM (PSPRS): Adopt legislation that consolidates the current 233 PSPRS local boards to something significantly more efficient and uniform to assist in the efficient resolution of claims and ultimately save money and time, and provide more equitable resolutions to claims City of Yuma Page 1 Printed on 2/22/2018 City Council Worksession Agenda February 27, 2018 C. PTSD PRESUMPTION FOR PUBLIC SAFETY EMPLOYEES (HB2501): Urges the Legislature to put a moratorium on increased benefits for public safety employees. D. HIGHWAY USER'S REVENUE FUND (HURF): Restore HURF to statutory funding levels and explore alternative funding for road construction. E. OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING (SB1404): Protect the right for cities to issue business licenses and regulate occupations in the future as necessary. F. CURRENT LEGISLATION ISSUES: City Council discussion with legislators regarding current legislation affecting cities. II. EXECUTIVE SESSION An Executive Session may be called during the public meeting for the purpose of receiving legal advice for items on this agenda pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.03 A (1, 3, 4 and/or 7) and the following items: A. Discussion, consultation with and/or instruction to legal counsel, regarding City agreement with Spectrum.
