City of Yuma City Council Worksession Agenda Tuesday, October 18, 2022 5:30 PM Yuma City Hall Council Chambers One City Plaza, Yuma Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Resolution R2015-047 that one or more members of the Yuma City Council may participate in person or by telephonic, video or internet conferencing. Voting procedures will remain as required by the Yuma City Charter and other applicable laws. CALL TO ORDER I. NATIONAL ARTS AND CULTURE MONTH Rose Ann Forte, Chairman of the Board of Arizona Citizens for the Arts, and Mark Feldman, Chairman of the Board of the Arizona Commission on the Arts, will provide an overview on what their organizations are responsible for and bring forward national and statewide sentiments about the importance of Arts and Culture in their communities. II. YUMA CROSSING NATIONAL HERITAGE AREA UPDATE Newly-appointed Executive Director, Cathy Douglas, and retired Director, Charles Flynn, will provide a progress report on the Heritage Area’s strategic plan, including both the opportunities and challenges ahead, followed by discussion and/or questions from City Council. III. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA OF OCTOBER 19, 2022 City Council discussion and/or questions to City staff on any Regular City Council Meeting agenda item. (For a listing of agenda items, the Regular City Council meeting agenda is posted adjacent to this worksession agenda and is available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the City’s website at www.YumaAz.gov). EXECUTIVE SESSION An Executive Session may be called during this public meeting for the purpose of receiving legal advice for items included on the October 19, 2022 Regular City Council Meeting, and the October 18, 2022 Regular Worksession agendas, pursuant to A.R.S.
