Town of Zionsville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners October 27, 2014 Meeting Minutes Present: President Steve Mundy, Commissioner Jeff Papa, Commissioner Susana Suarez, Commissioner Suzy Nagy, Commissioner Madison Carney Call to Order: President Mundy Approval of meeting minutes from the September 29, 2014 meeting. Motion made by Commissioner Papa, Seconded by Commissioner Nagy, motion passed by unanimous vote. (Commissioner Suarez was absent from room during vote) Old Business: None New Business: Resignation of Officer / K­9 Handler Jonathon “Wayde” Knox, President Mundy “wished Officer Knox well” in his future endeavors. Chief Knox requested permission from the board to extend a “Conditional Offer of Employment” to David S. Byrum to fill the vacancy created with Wayde Knox’s resignation. Commissioner Carney made motion to approve the request, seconded by Commissioner Nagy and the motion passed by unanimous vote. Chief Knox requested permission to conduct a hiring process for the purpose of establishing a hiring list for any future vacancies within the Zionsville Police Department for the position of Police Officer. Motion made by Commissioner Suarez and seconded by Commissioner Carney. Motion passed by unanimous vote. Chief Knox gave update on the four new Reserve Officers who recently graduated from the Boone County Reserve Academy. Public Comment: None Adjourn: Motion made by Commissioner Suarez and seconded by Commissioner Nagy. Adjourned by unanimous vote. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Zionsville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners is scheduled for November 24, 2014 at 8:30am in the Bev Harves Room at the Zionsville Town Hall.
