Title: Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners Location: Zionsville Town Hall – Beverly Harves Room Start Time: 08:30 AM Date: 2015­01­26 Town of Zionsville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners January 26, 2015 Meeting Minutes Present: President Steve Mundy, Vice President Susana Suarez, Commissioner Suzy Nagy, Commissioner Madison Carney, Chief of Police Robert Knox Not Present: Commissioners Jeff Papa Call to Order: President Mundy A. Election of Officers for the year of 2015. For the position of President, motion was made by current President Steve Mundy for Commissioner Suzy Nagy, Seconded by Vice President Susana Suarez, nomination passed by unanimous vote. For the position of Vice President, motion was made by current President Steve Mundy for Susana Suarez, seconded by President elect Suzy Nagy, nomination passed by unanimous vote. Gavel of President passed to President elect Suzy Nagy who assumed leadership of the Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners. Vice President Suarez thanked past President Steve Mundy for his service. B. Approval of minutes from November 27, 2014 meeting (no meeting held in December, 2014) Motion made to accept the minutes as presented by Vice President Suarez, seconded by Commissioner Mundy. Motion passed by unanimous vote Old Business: None New Business: A. Transfer of handgun to retired Zionsville Police Captain Douglas Gauthier in recognition of his 21 years of service. Motion made by Commissioner Carney to approve the transfer, seconded by Commissioner Mundy. Motion passed by unanimous vote. B. Update gave by Chief Knox on recent promotion of Captain Robert Musgrave. C. Chief Knox gave update on current hiring process. D. Chief Knox gave update on upcoming replacement promotion process of Lieutenant. E. Chief Knox gave update on recent sprinkler system failure (burst pipe) at the Municipal Services Facility. Public Comment: None Adjourn Meeting: Motion made for adjournment by Vice President Suarez, seconded by Commissioner Mundy. Motion passed by unanimous vote. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Zionsville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners is scheduled for February 23, 2015 at 8:30am in the Bev Harves Room at the Zionsville Town Hall.
