Town of Zionsville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners February 23, 2015 Meeting Minutes Present: President Suzy Nagy, Commissioner Steve Mundy, Commissioner Jeff Papa, Commissioner Matt Carney, Chief of Police Robert Knox, Attorney Heather Willey Not Present: Vice President Susana Suarez Call to Order: President Nagy Approval of minutes from January 26, 2015 meeting. Motion made by Commissioner Mundy, Seconded by Commissioner Carney, motion passed by unanimous vote. Old Business: none New Business: Chief Knox presented the name of Sergeant Bryan Sauer to be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in the Uniform Services Division and explained the promotion process. Motion made by Commissioner Mundy to promote Sergeant Sauer to the rank of Lieutenant, Seconded by Commissioner Papa. Vote passed by unanimous vote. Chief Knox announced his plans on offering the lobby of the police department for people to have a safe location to conduct business regarding “Craigslist” type of purchases. Chief Knox explained that neighboring communities have done this and the location is public property and would be available during business hours Monday – Friday, 8am­4pm (excluding holidays). The commissioners stated that they thought this was a good idea. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners is scheduled for March 30, 2015 at 8:30am in the Bev Harves room at the Zionsville Town Hall.
