Town of Zionsville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners meeting memoranda for February, 20, 2018. Present: Vice President Josh Garrett, Commissioner Bryan Traylor, Commissioner Suzy Nagy, Chief of Police Robert Knox Not Present: President Susana Suarez, Commissioner Mat Carney Call to Order: Vice President Josh Garrett Approval of Minutes from December 18th, 2017 meeting. Motion made to accept by Commissioner Traylor, Seconded by Commissioner Nagy and motion passed by unanimous vote. Old Business: None New Business: 1. Election of President for 2018: Motion made for current President Susana Suarez made by Vice President Garrett, Seconded by Commissioner Nagy. Motion passed by unanimous vote. 2. Election of Vice President for 2018: Motion made for current Vice President Josh Garrett, Seconded by Commissioner Nagy. Motion passed by unanimous vote. 3. Lieutenant Drake Sterling, Sergeant Joe Dennemann, Officer Joshua Rupp and Officer Jacob Sherlburne received the “Chief of Police Award of Excellence” for their response to a medical emergency. 4. Chief Knox presented Commissioner with propsed new policies 100 (“Law Enforcement Authority”) Motion made to adopt by Commissioner Traylor, Seconded by Commissioner Nagy. Motion passed by unanimous vote. 5. Chief Knox presented Commissioners with proposed new policy 101 (“Chief Executive Officer”) Motion made to adopt by Commissioner Garrett Seconded by Commissioner Traylor. Motion passed by unanimous vote. 6. Chief Knox presented Commissioners with proposed new policy 103 (“Policy Manual”) Motion made to adopt by Commissioner Nagy Seconded by Commissioner Traylor. Motion passed by unanimous vote. 7. Chief Knox presented Commissioners with proposed new policy 200 (“Organizational Structure and Responsibility”) Motion made to adopt by Vice President Garrett Seconded by Commissioner Nagy. Motion passed by unanimous vote. Public Comment: None Adjourn Meeting: Motion made by Commissioner Traylor Seconded by Commissioner Nagy. Motion passed by unanimous vote. The next regularly schdeduled meeting of the Zionsville Metropolitan Board of Police Commissioners is scheduled for March 19th, 2018 at 8:30am (or immediately upon the conclusion of the 7:30am Town Council meeting) in the Town Council room at the Zionsville Town Hall, 1100 West Oak St. Zionsville, Indiana.
