Zionsville Architectural Review Committee - Meeting Minutes
Location: Zionsville Town Hall
Tuesday, September 24th, 2019
ATTENDEES:
Committee Members Present:

• Mike Zeller, Lions Club of Zionsville
• Gene Thompson, Lions Club of Zionsville
• Tom Robbins, Lions Club of Zionsville
President Todd Rottmann opened the meeting at 7:31 am. A Quorum was present.
MEETING AGENDA and MINUTES:
A new agenda was reviewed, and a motion to adopt the agenda was made by Carol Mullet and
seconded by Cara Weber. Motion was approved unanimously.
The August 27th meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion to adopt was made by Carol Mullet and
seconded by Tom Casalini. Motion was approved unanimously.
REPORTS:
The ZARC Financials were reviewed. The 2019 remaining budget is $47,800.34.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. 170 South Main
• No New Business
2. Lion’s Club – Zionsville
• Great discussions with the Lions Club Representatives.
• The Club is pursuing changes to the Application including sidelights on south panel
door, replacing lights, and changing (5) dormers to (3) with louvered faces. Siding
will be horizontal and be smooth finish cement board.
• As part of the changes this will allow the Club to wrap all (4) elevations of the building
including the Eastside.
• Based on the level of changes the Committee requested updated Elevations and
cutsheets of proposed fixtures and paint sample. The committee mentioned that the
East elevation which is only receiving siding may be submitted via a picture with notes
to help expedite the process and the limited changes on that elevations.
• Embracing the Barn is the overarching approach for the façade enhancements.
• The Club and the Town are working together on the Site work with BLN Engineers.
• Preliminary Costs were discussed but an updated budget will be needed to convey the
scope of the Grant Request.
• The Club may review potential exploratory stone removal to determine extent of work
behind the stone. They will work with the Town for appropriate permits.
• Discussions concluded with the Lion’s resubmitting a new application for Façade Grant
which will include updated elevations, costs, schedule, cutsheets, etc.
3. 345 and 365 South Main Street
• No Update – applicant expected to return with more info in near future

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019.

With no other new business, Carol Mullet made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mike
Billig, at 8:49 am. Motion was approved unanimously.
