Welcome Appointments to Park Board
-Jeff Edmondson was reappointed as the Mayor’s annual appointee
-Tim Casady is serving a town council 4-year appointment through the end of 2022
-Wayne Bivans was reappointed as the School Board annual appointee
Beginning of Year Actions
- Election of a new Park Board President - Jeff Edmondson
• Motion made by Tim Casady, seconded by Steve Bullington, approved unanimously
- Election of new Park Board Vice President - Tim Casady
• Motion made by Steve Bullington, seconded by John Wollenburg, approved unanimously
- Appointment of Park Board Secretary and Identification of back-up signatory
• John Wollenburg was appointed for Park Board Secretary and for Matt Dickey to be back-up signatory
- Appointment of Park Board Designee to Town Council Pathway Committee
• Motion & vote approved for Tim Casady as the Park Board Designee
- Confirm regular Wed meeting dates
• Motion made by Steve Bullington, seconded by Tim Casady, approved unanimously
- Retention of a Park Board Attorney Roger Burrus
• Motion made by Steve Bullington, seconded by Wayne Bivans, approved unanimously
Continuation of Agenda /Meeting
-The Park Board by motion and vote approved the previous month’s minutes
Public Presentations/Comments
- Scott Barson, Course Manager gave the Annual Report on Zionsville Golf Course. After some discussion, the Park
Board thanked Scott for a great year with the golf course.
New Business
- Park Board’s acceptance of the Community Foundation of Boone County’s annual donation of $914 for the Lincoln
Park concerts reimbursement grant to the concert committee as they have done in previous years and $353 for the
Fountain in Lincoln Park to be held until there is a larger fountain project needing funds.
• Motion made by Tim Casady, seconded by Wayne Bivans; motion approved unanimously
Old Business
Superintendent Matt Dickey gave a brief update on the Park Master Plan Process and the 2017 Park & Recreation
Impact Fee Process
Claims
• Motion to approve claims made by John Wollenburg and seconded by Steve Bullington. Motion approved unanimously

of the Zionsville Board of Park & Recreation

Title: Park Board Planning Retreat
Purpose: While Park Board members have the option to add to their own agenda, currently the only
planned purpose of the meeting is to allow Park Board members to have more time to hear and
considered detailed information regarding the 5-Year Master plan process’s input and trending. There will
be a presentation by staff and the consultant team, likely followed by considerable questions/discussion.
Note: A quorum of the Park Board may be in attendance.
Upon request, the Town of Zionsville will provide auxiliary aids and services. Please provide advance notification to Sue
Jones at #317-873-8244 to ensure the proper accommodations are made prior to the meeting.
